Hi, we’re Johnny and Jobi, co-founders of J3 Publishers, a creative husband-and-wife team based in Jacksonville, Florida. More importantly, we’re followers of Jesus, and He is not just part of our team; He’s the reason we exist.

It all began with the process of publishing Johnny’s latest book, Alternate Dominion. During that journey, we asked, “Jesus, do You want us to start our own Jacksonville publishing company to help Christian authors?” We didn’t hear thunder, lightning, or a booming voice from heaven, but we felt a nudge. With that nudge, doors began to open. What started as a quiet step of faith turned into a full-blown mission.

Jesus is the Light behind our vision, the Love in our work, and the reason behind everything we do that resembles kindness, beauty, or excellence. It’s our greatest joy to serve you, our fellow believers, especially right here in Jacksonville, as you share your God-given words with the world.

Johnny, a Navy veteran and former search-and-rescue swimmer, moved to Jacksonville after his service, and our city became his home. Though often mistaken for Australian, he’s now a true Jacksonvillian. From a young age, he had a gift for creative writing, and after his military service, he pursued it further, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Journalism. His world turned upside down when he came face-to-face with his Savior, Jesus, in 1994. That year forever changed his life. Thankful for God's mercy, he now marches on toward the high calling of Jesus Christ. Johnny’s heart beats strongest when teaching the Word of God. Years of preparing lessons for discipleship groups helped him hone his voice and calling as a teacher, writer, and communicator of truth. In 2000, when the world was supposed to end due to Y2K, he met the love of his life, Jobi, a somewhat untamable, fierce tiger with a little bit of kitty cat.

Jobi was born and raised in Jacksonville and has always had a heart for her city and its people. She remembers leaning out the window as a child while crossing the old Matthews Bridge, back when it had grates, tolls, and when seatbelts weren’t required. Looking down through the grates and marveling at the St. John's River below her was one of her fondest memories of the city where she was born. That same wonder and love for creation and people carried into her 33-year career as a hairstylist, where her creativity and skills flourished. After retiring, she still felt the pull of an artist who can't stop creating, and that’s when God led her to graphic and web design. Self-taught and Spirit-led, Jobi now uses her design skills to serve others with beauty and flair. Jobi thrives the most when she has the opportunity to testify about all that Jesus has done in her life since she first received Him as her Lord and Savior in 1995. Being married to her, Mr. Johnny Jones, is the most outstanding blessing God has ever given her, and being a mother to their daughter, Chezney, is a loving privilege.
